Operations Technician

We are still growing and have a fantastic opportunity for two Operations Center Technicians to join our team in Stockholm.


The role

Our Operations Center is at the heart of everything happening in Basefarm. You will have the opportunity to work directly with Basefarm’s customers and build your IT career, and your future from the ground up. 

In this role you will perform activities in application management for our customers and the main task is to handle the daily operations of all systems, both internal and external.


Key areas of responsibility:

  • Work proactively to monitor internal systems and respond to tickets according to the relevant service level agreement.
  • Be the first point of contact for Basefarm customers.
  • Support customers in the implementation of system changes, upgrades and implementations.
  • Work with application solutions and webservers on different platforms.
  • Troubleshooting: performing analysis and giving suggestions on solutions.
  • Work with monitoring and maintenance of systems, e.g. archive and clean up etc.


Who we are looking for

A technically minded person who is service orientated, cooperative and curios about problem solving. It is important that you can work closely with our customers but also with other departments within Basefarm so being able to build relationships is important.

Moreover, the successful candidate should:

  • Have at least 1 -2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Have experience of working in a service desk function (Network Operations Center or second line rather than end user first line support).
  • Be comfortable in a server environment, (Linux/Unix and/or Windows) and have good knowledge of both.
  • Have good knowledge of back-up systems and how script works.
  • Be fluent in both Swedish and English, with good communication skills in both.

It’s advantageous (but not necessary) if you have:

  • Experience of hosting applications, e.g. Java-related applications.
  • Programming experience.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Cloud (AWS/Azure).
  • Experience within Infrastructure (e.g. network, storage, etc.).
  • ITIL knowledge.
